Inner Journey

James Valdes, MS, MBA, NCC, LMHC

National Certified Counselor and

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

I entered this career to give back what I had been given from therapy, mindfulness, and recovery. Those pilars propped me up, gave me my life, and lifted me into a new created life. I want others to have these mindsets and these tools.

James Valdes takes a caring, non-judgmental approach when helping individuals and couples with relationship issues, commitment phobia, co-dependence, breakup or divorce-related issues, love addiction, sex addiction, porn addiction, relationship addiction, and managing depression, anxiety and stress. He also works with psychedelic therapy and integration, ask him about it. He also helps adults who had childhood sexual experiences. His passion lies in helping others help themselves in order to reduce suffering using mindfulness, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and other tools. He works with his clients to help them get joy back into their lives and to help them to create the lives they want to live.

Before becoming a therapist, James worked in professions such as mechanical engineering, sales, real estate, and he even managed screenwriters and directors in Hollywood for a prolific movie production company. He has been practicing and teaching mindfulness and meditation for 15 years to adults, children, and people in recovery. He has extensive experience working with clients in the medical field and other high-stress jobs. Due to his own personal love of playing sports he also enjoys working with athletes who are working to overcome slumps and anxieties.
